Mini Pumps:
A mini-pump is not just a convenience to have on the road. It can be a
life-saver. So the number one concern is reliability. We use aluminum
or carbon barrels...not plastic. We avoid the "magic" dual valve
designs, because we find they don't last as long as the old fashioned
design where you have to switch the parts to get PV/SV. Sure it can be
more work, but no one wants the ugly surprise of having your pump not
work when you are 20 miles from home.

Floor Pumps:
We design these for quick powerful inflation. That is why we don't use
short barrels like some makers do. Floor pumps are about convenience and
quickness, so we do spec the "magic" dual valve designs on these.
We use aluminum or steel barrels, because we know these get tossed around
a lot.
